Recently, Beaufort County Treasurer Maria Walls, herself an elected official, stood up at the May 26 County Council meeting and reminded the elected officials there had been eight county administrators, six chief financial officers, five deputy administrators and four county attorneys in the past nine years.

Tanner: Seifert cleared of policy violations in Squires investigation

Beaufort County Sheriff P.J.
