Dabney Fox Thacker passed away on May 11, 2026, in Charleston, S.C., from complications from cancer. She is survived by her husband, Andy Thacker; her daughter, Heather Thacker; her son, Dr. Stephen Thacker; his wife, Mary Thacker; and their grandchildren, Ethan, Dabney, and Jacob Thacker, and all of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.

My more pressing concern is that our Recycling Centers only take Plastics No. 1 and No. 2, only bottles, jugs and jars. As you know, we are not allowed to recycle the No. 1 plastic food containers that a huge amount of the food we purchase is packaged in.
