Beaufort Digital Corridor names Jackson new Executive Director

Staff reports

The Beaufort Digital Corridor has announced that Arthur “AJ” Jackson III will be its new Executive Director, effective May 11, 2026.

AJ Jackson

Jackson is a UNC Chapel Hill graduate, a former tech startup co-founder, and an enterprise technology sales professional who brings an entrepreneurial, builder-focused mindset to advancing BDC’s impact across the Lowcountry.

“Beaufort is a community with real momentum and so much potential,” Jackson in a news release. “I believe the BDC is at the center of that story. I’ve seen firsthand what it takes to build something from the ground up, and I’m excited to bring that perspective to this role.

“BASEcamp is an incredible resource, the programs BDC runs make a tangible difference, and I can’t wait to get to work with the team and the community to take it to the next level.”

Jackson takes the position of former Beaufort Digital Corridor Executive Director Jess O’Brien, who joined Beaufort Memorial Hospital as the Director of Marketing and Communications in April.
