“High Tea with High Ideals: An Event Celebrating Women” is planned for Sunday, Sept. 30 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Beaufort Jasper Academy for Career Excellence (ACE). Women will dress in their finest attire and gather to sip tea and enjoy refreshments while listening to speakers address issues of interest to.
These speakers, who have excelled in their careers, will address healthcare, education and women in the workplace. Barbara Temple, social worker, will speak on women’s health issues; Ervina Faulker, educator and columnist, will speak on women and education; and Claudia Kennedy, Lt. General, U.S. Army (retired), will speak on the power of women in organizations.
The guest will be the Democratic Candidate for Congressional District 1, Bobbie Rose. Cost for this unique event is $10. ACE is located off S.C. 170.
