Participants gathered at the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office headquarters to walk from Bay Street to U.S. Representative Nancy Mace’s Beaufort office on Boundary Street on Saturday, July 25, 2026, to mark a National Day of Action organized by the Lowcountry Immigration Coalition.

The participants later held a vigil at Mace’s office to honor the lives of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo (52, killed in Houston on July 7) and Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero (26, killed in Biddeford, Maine on July 13) after both were shot and killed by ICE officers while commuting to work.
