April Patricia Hogan, 51 of Beaufort, S.C., passed away at her residence in Beaufort.
A Rosary Service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Monday, June 1, 2026, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with a Memorial Mass following at 1:30 p.m. The family will have a reception at the Church following the services.
April was born on Feb. 27, 1975, in Beaufort, S.C., to Patricia Lynne (Richard) Hogan Gates and the late Kevin George Hogan. She spent many years as a hospice nurse with Friends of Caroline, where she was cherished by both coworkers and patients. April loved rescuing and caring for animals, relaxing at the beach, gardening, and traveling. We will always remember her radiant smile, joyful laugh, and generous spirit.
Survivors include her mother, Patricia Lynne Gates of Beaufort; her sister, Michelle Yun of Murfreesboro, Tenn., married to Michael Yun, with children Anna, Phillip, and Elle; and her sister, Angela Brown-Sampson of Beaufort, S.C., married to Francis Brown-Sampson, with children Adriana, A’lana, Aaliyah, and August.
She is preceded in death by her father: Kevin George Hogan.
