On Feb. 11, 2026, the Beaufort Area Hospitality Association (BAHA) awarded its latest Hospitality Star Awards to Lynn Crouse and Petra Vaughn, also known as the “dynamic duo,” at Southern Sweets Ice Cream Parlor and Sandwich Shop downtown. The owner, Bonny Gordon, spoke so highly of the dedication, teamwork, and warmth they bring to both the business and the guests they serve every day.
The Hospitality Star Award was created to acknowledge the outstanding hospitality and tourism professionals in the Beaufort area. Nominations are submitted by hospitality business owners, coworkers, managers, and even members of the public — making it a true community-driven recognition.
This program is a meaningful way to recognize the hardworking individuals who keep Beaufort’s hospitality industry thriving and who so often work behind the scenes.
