Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC-01) has invited members of the community and the media to join her for “Cheers With Your Congresswoman” on Monday, May 13 in Beaufort.

The event will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., at Bricks on Boundary at 1422 Boundary Street in Beaufort. According to a media release, “Congresswoman Mace will be available to discuss local issues, listen to concerns, and connect with the Beaufort community in a relaxed atmosphere.”

Mace, the first female graduate of The Citadel’s Corps of Cadets, was elected to serve South Carolina’s 1st Congressional District in 2020, defeating incumbent Democrat Joe Cunningham. She won a re-election campaign in 2022 against Democratic challenger Dr. Annie Andrews, a Charleston-area pediatrician, after beating Donald Trump-endorsed Katie Arrington in the GOP Primary.

In her second term representing South Carolina’s 1st Congressional District, Mace is facing challenges from two other Republicans – Catherine Templeton and Bill Young – in the Tuesday, June 11, primary.

The Republican primary winner will face off in the Tuesday, Nov. 5, general election against the winner of the Democratic primary between Mac Deford and Michael B Moore.
