The mural was commissioned by Sharon and Dick Stewart and is on the Marine Sciences building on the Beaufort campus at 805 Carteret Street. Farris is a multi-disciplinary contemporary artist who received his Masters of Fine Art in Painting and his BFA in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).
