Stealing your neighbor’s yard sign is illegal

It happens every election year.

No, it’s not the long lines to vote or debates on TV. It’s election signs that seem to vanish in thin air or at least under the cover of darkness.

But did you know it is illegal to “deface, vandalize, tamper with, or remove”a lawfully placed political campaign sign?

It’s true and according to South Carolina state law it’s a misdemeanor that comes with a fine of up to $100 orpossibly jail time.
