Sheriff’s Office Investigating Armed Robbery on St. Helena

ST. HELENA ISLAND, SC  – The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a Seaside Farms home on Wednesday night.

At approximately 9:30 pm Wednesday night, Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence at 1350 Seaside Rd in
reference to a robbery occurring moments earlier. Upon arrival, deputies met with a 53-year old male who
advised that two unknown black males had entered his home and robbed him at gunpoint.

The victim told officers that he was watching TV in his living room when he heard a noise and was suddenly
confronted by two black males in his home. The victim said that the suspects, one of whom was armed with a
pistol, demanded money from him.

When the victim replied that he did not have any money, one of the suspects went to the victim’s bedroom while the other held the victim at gunpoint. After stealing the victim’s wallet, both suspects fled the home, leaving the victim unharmed. The victim advised that after the suspects fled, he heard several gunshots outside and observed the suspects running towards Club Bridge Rd.

Little description of the suspects was available, being only described as black males wearing all black clothing
and ski masks. One was reportedly approximately 6’00”, 150 lbs. The other was described as approximately
5’05”, 170 lbs.
