Fawnwood Ln Murder Update

SEABROOK, SC (April 13, 2012/3:30 PM) – The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in attempting to identify a suspect believed to be involved in the April 10 th shooting death of a Burton man.

Twenty-three year old Octavius Moultrie was shot to death outside a home on Fawnwood Ln in Seabrook just before 2 pm Tuesday. Investigators have since been able to gather additional information regarding the possible suspect(s) allowing for the creation of a composite sketch of the alleged shooter.

Witnesses have described the shooter as a black male, approximately 6’05” of slender build with close-cut hair,
a pencil-thin mustache, and a diamond earring in his left ear. The shooter was reportedly a passenger in an SUV
driven by a second black male that was seen in the area at the time the shooting occurred. The SUV has been
described as a 2003-2007 white Chevy Tahoe with vertical-open rear cargo doors.
