New member inducted into local DAR chapter

Regent Charlene Shufelt proudly inducted Joanie Keefe into the Thomas Heyward, Jr. Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution at a recent meeting. Mrs. Keefe was able to prove direct descendency from Lancelot Junkin, Sr., a Patriot who fought in the American Revolutionary War. In order to join DAR, ladies must prove to be related either to a soldier or someone who provided direct support for the cause of freedom from the British. For more information about DAR, call Harriett Bosiack at 466-0305.
