Elizabeth “Libby” Harvey Butt, 98 years young, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025, in Sprenger Healthcare of Port Royal.

Libby was born on July 13, 1927, to Bessie Martin Harvey and Jake Harvey in Ridgeland, S.C., and raised in Beaufort, S.C. She married Emil Ogden Butt at the First Baptist Church of Beaufort on Feb. 2, 1946.

She is also survived by her granchildren, Thomas Hrach of Beaufort, Elizabeth Hrach of Beaufort, Walter List of Chicago, and Theodore List and wife Brianna of Denver.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mark’s Episcopal Church with burial in Beaufort National Cemetery.
