From staff reports

The City of Beaufort announced the Spanish Moss Trail between Rogers Drive and Broome Lane will close Monday, Aug. 31 to pedestrians and cyclists as the Mossy Oaks Stormwater Drainage Project begins construction.

Detour signs have been posted by Friends of the Spanish Moss Trail to guide people who use the trail.

During construction, residents can expect increased traffic from heavy equipment and drainage installation. The completion date and project updates will be shared on a variety of media platforms including the City of Beaufort’s Facebook page.

Updates on the Mossy Oaks projects can be found at the City of Beaufort’s website on its Mossy Oaks page.
