Beaufort County Council will discuss emergency face mask ordinances

On Wednesday, July 1 at 4 p.m. Beaufort County Council will meet to discuss and take action on an emergency ordinance to require the use of face masks “in certain places where individuals will not be able to social distance.”

The meeting will be held virtually, but will be broadcast live to the public on The County Channel and streamed live on Beaufort County Government SC’s Facebook page.

Public comments may be emailed to sbrock@bcgov.net or posted in real-time on the County’s Facebook live stream of the meeting.

The Town of Hilton Head Island and the City of Beaufort councils both passed emergency face mask ordinances on Monday, June 29, that go in effect within town and city limits at 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, June 30.
