A HELP-FUL DONATION: Business gives 2,500 pounds of food to HELP of Beaufort

The owner of Covert Aire, Mike Covert, donated more than 2,500 pounds of food to HELP of Beaufort on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013. Mike said this was his company’s fourth annual “Drive to End Hunger” and this year he got his whole staff involved to collect food to give to the local nonprofit. “We just felt led to help HELP,” he said. Steve Curless, president of HELP of Beaufort, was very grateful for the generous donation. HELP of Beaufort is a volunteer organization that offers clothing assistance, mobile meals, financial assistance and more to those in need in Beaufort County.
