Engagement is announced at Lutz Family Oyster Roast

By Lanier Laney

Historic Beaufort Foundation’s Executive Director Maxine Lutz and her husband, Benton, hosted a beautiful oyster roast for the engagement announcement of their son Will Lutz to Elizabeth Walker. Elizabeth, from a fine old Spartanburg family, is a Presidential Fellow in Public Health Policy and Beaufort native Will, who just got his Masters from the Citadel, is a software developer. They plan a June wedding and will live in Baltimore. The bride’s parents are Bruce and Susie Walker of Highlands, N.C. Bruce is the rector of an Episcopal church there and Susie teaches gifted elementary school students. Much happiness to the young couple!
