On August 9, 2011 the Beaufort / Jasper Multi Agency Drug Task Force conducted a search warrant at 3005 Palmetto Ridge Street in Beaufort. As a result of the search warrant, the occupants of the residence, 53-year old John Dunbar and 44-year old Michelle Mattox were both arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Crack Cocaine and Possession with Intent to Distribute Crack Cocaine within a 1/2 Mile of a School. DTF members seized approximately 2.9 grams of crack cocaine and $450.00 in US currency.
