Tim Scott meets and greets Beaufort County voters

BLUFFTON — Presidential hopeful U.S. Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., appeared at the Corner Perk Brunch Café downtown on Friday, Oct. 6 to make his pitch for the Republican nomination.

Business in the coffee shop was brisk in the hour before the event was scheduled to start, but Heather Telinda, operations manager at the coffee shop, said that despite appearances, sales were a little off.

“I believe it’s only because they’ve got refreshments upstairs,” Telinda said. “I think they’ve got some Chick-fil-A up there.”
