Mystic Osprey Gallery’s wildlife ornaments to benefit Lowcountry Raptors

Habersham’s Mystic Osprey Gallery has announced a holiday charity partnership with Lowcountry Raptors. All proceeds from every wildlife, Christmas ornament sold at the gallery will go directly to the birds in the care of the charity, which cares for owls, hawks, vultures, and falcons.
Each ornament comes boxed with tissue paper, and is ready to gift. The ornaments are only available in-store, and not online.
“Lowcountry Raptors is a wonderful organization, doing important, educational work,” Mystic Osprey Gallery owner Robert Howell said. “Lila Arnold, her volunteers and her birds visit classrooms, farmers markets, events, parks and libraries. For many people, especially kids, it’s the only opportunity to get close up to a live owl, hawk, or falcon and the programs teach people about raptors, predators and prey, conservation and habitat loss.
“My wife, Emily, found terrific ornaments that were foxes, owls, cardinals, robins, bears, raccoons, hummingbirds and other wildlife creatures, so we decided to turn the ornaments into a fundraiser for Lowcountry Raptors. “Mystic Osprey Gallery had previously sponsored two of our birds– Breezy, a Barred Owl, and Sterling, a Merlin Falcon – so when they called and asked if they could do this, we were thrilled, and the ornaments are adorable,” Lowcountry Raptors founder and leader Lila Arnold said.
Mystic Osprey Gallery showcases artists from around the country who explore nature, habitat, wildlife, and “our place within.” The work includes original paintings, prints, sculpture, jewelry, and ceramics.
“Mystic Osprey Gallery celebrates nature, making Lowcountry Raptors a magical fit. These wonderful ornaments are a tiny reminder that there is much to do to protect our planet, its fauna, and flora,” Howell said.
