From staff reports

Street Music on Paris Avenue is back in Port Royal on four Saturdays this spring, beginning Saturday, May, 4. The free concerts begin at 6 p.m., and take place between 9th and 10th streets.

The opening artist is Soulful Femme on Saturday, May 4. According to Arts Garage of Delray Beach Fla., “Soulful Femme presents a one-of-a-kind show, playing a mixture of blues, soul and rock like you’ve never heard before.”

Next up is soul singer Dave Keller on Saturday, May 18. Hugesville, Pa.’s Billtown Blues called his music, “The finest soul I’ve heard since the early days.”

On Saturday, June 1, Jonathan Ellison will take the Paris Avenue stage. According to the Brownsville Press, “Jonathan’s unique musical perspectives makes him an unforgettable performer. His music is composed of a healthy mix of gospel, blues and soul, as well as a little bit of rock ‘n’ roll.”

Finally, on Saturday, June 15, Seth Walker is the man on the scene. Country Standard Time said, “If you subscribe to the Big Tent theory of Americana, then Seth Walker with his blend of blues, gospel, pop, R&B, rock, and a dash of country, just might be your poster boy.”

Music watchers are encouraged to bring their own chairs and their dancing shoes.
