St. Helena Library celebrates grand opening

A grand opening ceremony to celebrate the new St. Helena Branch of the Beaufort County Public Library was held Thursday, Nov. 8. The ceremony began on the back porch of the building with speakers such as Beaufort County Council Vice Chairman Paul Sommerville and Vernita Dore from the USDA. Singers from both St. Helena and Lady’s Island elementary schools performed. The state-of-the-art facility is located at 6355 Jonathan Francis Sr. Road on St. Helena Island.
