Sheriff’s Office Investigating St Helena Island Shooting

ST HELENA ISLAND, SC (November 12, 2012) – The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is
investigating a shooting incident last night ( Monday) that left a St Helena man injured.

Just after 8 pm last night, Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported gunshot victim at a private residence at
1521 Sea Island Pkwy. Upon arrival, deputies located a 22-year old male lying on the ground outside the home,
suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was uncooperative, refusing to provide deputies with his
name or any details regarding how he had been injured.

Witnesses reportedly in the area at the time of the shooting advised they heard several gunshots and saw the victim
running, but could provide no possible suspect description.

The victim was transported to Beaufort Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. His condition
remains undisclosed. At this time, no suspect(s) or motive have been determined in this incident.
