The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is investigating Friday night’s armed robbery of a Lady’s Island restaurant.
Just before 11 pm Friday night, Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported armed robbery occurring at Dairy Queen (115 Sea Island Pkwy) moments earlier. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with several employees who advised that the store had been robbed at gunpoint by three unknown black males.
Employees advised that the men entered the store through a rear door, brandished handguns and demanded cash. After being given an undisclosed amount of money, all three fled the store, leaving employees unharmed.
A search of the area yielded no contact with the suspects, however, deputies did find evidence suggesting that the suspects may have fled in a vehicle parked in a dirt driveway on nearby Miller Dr.
The suspects are all described as black males between the ages of 18-30 wearing all dark clothing with masks concealing their faces.
The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information to contact either Investigator Sgt. J. Kelleher at 843-255-3418 or the Beaufort County Dispatch Center at 843-524-2777.
