Romantic Beaufort: The natural beauty of the outdoors

By Pamela Brownstein

There’s no denying that the natural beauty of our surroundings in Beaufort make it a romantic destination. From the beautiful scenery and views at Waterfront Park to the wind swept beaches and boardwalks of Hunting Island State Park, our home is rich in environmental wonders.

Everyone has their favorite spot that holds romantic sentiments. My favorite spot is the bluffs along Bay Street, with the Spanish moss hanging from the live oaks, it reminds me of the outdoor ceremony on my wedding day, with the view of the river and the marsh.

So this Valentine’s Day weekend, whether you plan a trip to the beach or just take a walk along the Port Royal boardwalk, enjoy spending time with the ones you love among the many outdoor splendors that make the Lowcountry such a special, romantic place.
