Members of the Thomas Heyward, Jr. Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution attended the 26th annual pilgrimage to Thomas Heyward, Jr.’s grave Saturday, June 30. The program was sponsored by Sons of the American Revolution Chapters of Beaufort (Governor Paul Hamilton Chapter) and Jasper Counties (Dr. George Mosse Chapter, Host Chapter). This yearly tribute celebrates the contributions made to the founding of our country by this signer of the Declaration of Independence — a patriot, statesman, soldier and jurist.
