Penn Center announces child care program

The Penn Center has announced the opening of the P.A.C.E Enrichment Childcare Center, where it will provide children an opportunity to learn through self-directed play and hands-on experiences.

“We offer a learning environment that enhances and promotes the total social-emotional, physical, cultural, academic, linguistic and creative development of each child in a safe, nurturing and supportive environment,” the organization said in a release.

The income-based center will provide care for children six weeks to 4 years of age. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

In addition to the childcare center, the group also will offer the P.A.C.E After School Care for head start through eighth grade. The aftercare hours are 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. After care includes a nutritious meal along with homework help. Transportation will also be provided based upon request and space.
