The lovely Emily Chase has opened a very chic new salon above Modern Jewelers in Suite 5 of 811 Bay Street in downtown Beaufort. Bay Street Salon and Dry Bar is a full service salon with the clever idea of doing “Happy Hour” blowouts Wednesday and Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at only $28 for shampoo, blow-out and styling. SAVE THE DATE FOR THE PARTY OF THE YEAR: Historic Beaufort Foundation’s Lafayett Soiree will be held on Saturday, April 5. This year’s theme will be “April in Paris” in recognition of the Major General Marquis de Lafayette’s home and the important role he and France played in helping America win the Revolutionary War against England.
