Nestled among the Royal Pines community down Sams Point Road, Lady’s Island Country Club is a foodie gem waiting to be discovered.
It was another chilly Friday afternoon and the Lunch Bunch was excited to try the new menu items by the new chef, and we were not disappointed.
Kim didn’t hesitate to order the Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato sandwich on wheat with a side of tasty sweet potato fries.
Buck enjoyed every bite of his steak sandwich made with ribeye steak and topped with sauteed mushrooms, onions and Provolone cheese.
Nikki was pleased with her perfectly cooked classic burger with melted Pepperjack cheese. Her son Dalton ordered the Patty Melt — juicy beef with diced onions and Swiss cheese that comes grilled — with regular fries. He liked his so much he didn’t leave one piece of food on his plate.
These days, I’m usually craving something with meat or carbs, but for some reason, the
Chicken Club Salad was calling to me. The salad with romaine, cheddar cheese, tomato, bacon and fried chicken was fabulous. It was tossed with just enough honey mustard dressing to add flavor without feeling weighed down. The hearty portion did not matter, I finished the whole thing.
For dessert, we tried the new Blondie brownie, which was amazing (and I’m not just saying that because I’m preggie!). This chewy and rich brown sugar delight is served warm with vanilla bean ice cream and caramel drizzle. We ordered two to split between four people, and I think we were all secretly wishing we had our own.
The friendly service and excellent food options make for an enjoyable dining experience. And while you’re there, you can take lessons from a golf pro or take your own cart around the 18-hole course.
