The “Seat People” are hand-painted wooden cutouts that literally sit in as audience members at USC Beaufort’s Center for the Arts, to help facilitate social distancing. While some of these seat people are dedicated to celebrities like Kate Hepburn and Leonardo DiCaprio, Habersham’s Ron Callari captured this one dedicated to Beaufort’s departing mayor, Billy Keyserling. To submit a Lowcountry Life photo, you must be the photographer or have permission to submit the photo to be published in The Island News. Please submit high-resolution photos and include a description and/or names of the people in the picture and the name of the photographer. Email your photos to theislandnews@gmail.com.
