Local writer launches website and blog

Wendy Nilsen Pollitzer, former Editor of The Island News and contributor to the Social Scene, has launched a new website that features all of her writing, commercials and television productions in addition to her two books, “Images of America: Isle of Palms” and “Images of America: Port Royal.” The website will also include a blog, which Wendy will update frequently with more writing, photos and videos relative to Lowcountry living.

Wendy Round LogoWendy Nilsen Pollitzer wrote two columns for The Island News, currently writes a column for Lowcountry Weekly, called Our Town, and contributes to Hilton Head Monthly. Additionally, Wendy wrote and produced commercials and several television shows for WHHI-TV, located on Hargray Channel 8.

“I’ve written so many articles about people, places, businesses and organizations in the Lowcountry. I thought it was time to put them all in one spot,” explains Pollitzer.

“My style of writing has been described as spirited, and I feel like I am a cheerleader of sorts for Beaufort and its neighboring islands. My goal is to help people appreciate and celebrate the beauty of our coastal home and the foundation of our unique community.”
