Ground Beef recalled at Lady’s Island Food Lion

From staff reports

Food Lion has issued a recall on ground beef purchased from their store on Sams Point Road on Lady’s Island in Beaufort.

In a press release issued on July 1, the grocery chain recalled two varieties of in-store prepared ground beef – 73% Fresh Ground Beef and 80% Fresh Ground Beef in all package sizes – that were produced on June 30, 2024, with a Sell By Date of July 2, 2024.

The meat was recalled because it may contain traces of foreign material, according to the release.

Any customers who purchased the affected product are advised not to consume it and may return the meat to the Food Lion located at 10 Sams Point Road for a refund equal to double the purchase price per the company’s “Double Your Money Back Guarantee.”
