Eagles ease past Wildcats for second straight home win

Beaufort Academy girls basketball picked up another home win Saturday, beating the Lowcountry Wildcats homeschool program, 47-33.

Kamirah Freeman had another big game for the Eagles with 16 points, while Mike’Ala Washington added 15. Tahleea Heyward chipped in nine points for BA, and Ari Gonzalez added seven.

BA (4-1) was to play at Bridges Prep on Tuesday.

Four in double digits as BA rolls in home opener

Beaufort Academy girls basketball rolled to a big win in its home opener Friday, hammering crosstown rival Bridges Prep, 71-8.

Freeman led four Eagles in double figures with 19 points, while Washington added 16, Heyward scored 15, and Mary Hanna Hiers contributed 12. Gonzalez shipped in eight points for BA.
