All canines are invited to take a dip in the Wardle Family YMCA outdoor pool at this year’s First Puppy Plunge of the season. Well-behaved and friendly canines of all breeds and sizes are welcome to attend the Puppy Plunge, which continues on the first Saturday of each consecutive month until the outdoor pool reopens in the spring. Dogs must be current on all required vaccines and leashed until inside the pool area. Owners must be present at all times and humans are not permitted to swim with the dogs in the Puppy Plunge. All proceeds benefit the “Learn to Swim” program at the Y. Puppy Plunge will be held Saturday, Oct. 4 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Wardle Family YMCA, 1801 Richmond Avenue, Port Royal.
