At approximately 12:30 p.m. on September 16th 2012 officers responded to a report of an
armed robbery at Emily’s Restaurant at 906 Port Republic Street. An employee reported
that he and another employee were preparing for opening when a lone suspect entered an
unlocked rear door.The suspect was armed with a handgun and confronted the employee
and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect fled with cash, a cell phone and a
bottle of Vodka. The suspect was last seen fleeing down West Street on foot. The suspect was
described as a white male of medium height with a slightly heavy build. He had long dirty blond
hair and was clean shaven. He was wearing baggy blue jeans and a black t-shirt. The suspect
was reportedly armed with a silver semi-automatic handgun. Anyone with information on this
