Crowds love the Latin beat in Port Royal

A lively scene filled Paris Avenue on Saturday night as Atlanta’s Havana Son played Salsa and Latin beats for an enthusiastic crowd in Port Royal. There was a record turnout to see the band that performed as part of the free Street Music on Paris Avenue series sponsored by ARTworks. Deanna Bowdish, owner of The Gallery on Bay Street, said it’s the most people she’s ever seen dancing, and thought it was a great event. The three-person band is led by Lillian and Rene Herrera.
