On Thursday, April 10 2025, Hospital Corpsman First Class Timothy Helton was honored with the Purple Heart award at a ceremony held at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island. This award recognizes the injuries he endured on April 1, 2010 during Operation Enduring Freedom. The award was presented by Captain Tracy R.
