City Council appoints 3 to Tourism Advisory Committee

City Council appointed three new members to the Tourism Development Advisory Committee (TDAC) at its Sept. 14 Regular Meeting. They are:

Henry Brandt, of St. Helena Island: Brandt is the owner/CEO of Coastal Expeditions South, and has worked in the eco-tourism industry since 2005.

Mickey Minick, of Savannah: Minick operates the Kelly Tours Gray Line, which began operations in Beaufort in 2019. He has been in the tour and transportation business for almost 20 years.

Chetan Patel, of Beaufort: Patel is a second-generation hotelier and owns Country Inn & Suites by Radisson.

The TDAC meets once a year to consider applications for ATAX grants – grants from state accommodation taxes to local non-profit organizations that support tourism in Beaufort.
