Beaufort Chapter #229 of Therapy Dogs International will meet on Saturday, February 7 at noon, at Golden Corral, 122 Robert Smalls Parkway. Locally, TDI certified dogs visit assisted living centers and nursing homes, hospitals, hospice, Alzheimer Day centers and other facilities that request visits. TDI’s Tail Waggin’ Tutor program has been successful in promoting reading in local elementary schools and after school programs. Those who are interested to learn how to certify their dog as a therapy dog are welcome to attend. For further information call Russ Dimke, Director (843) 846-9580.
