Beaufort County, South Carolina- At approximately 8:30am on May 30, 2011, a body was discovered in the Broad River near Archer’s Creek. The identity of the Decedent, as well as the cause and manner of death have yet to be determined. A forensic autopsy is scheduled to be performed at the Medical University of South Carolina on May 31, 2011. The investigation is ongoing and additional information will be released upon confirmation of the Decedent’s identity.
On May 31, 2011, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer (Sgt. Robin McIntosh) will be available for further comment.
