Beaufort’s Plaza Stadium Theater evacuated due to electrical fire

At approximately 5:00 this afternoon the Plaza Stadium Theater on Robert Smalls Parkway in Beaufort was evacuated due to an apparent electrical fire.  Patrons were watching their movies and “everything just shut down”, said one movie-goer.

Fire trucks and emergency personnel rushed into the Theater.  Nobody was hurt, and when the local favorite hang-out will reopen is currently unknown.
