Beaufort Memorial opens new Internal Medicine of fice

Beaufort Memorial Lady’s Island Internal Medicine will welcome the community to its newly constructed office at a ribbon-cutting and open house on Monday, Nov. 18, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

At the open house, visitors will have the opportunity to tour the new office at 117 Sea Island Parkway, and light refreshments will be served. The new 8,500-square-foot facility is home to Drs. Philip Cusumano, Randy Dalbow and Robert Vyge, board-certified internists who are now seeing patients.

Lady’s Island Internal Medicine, a Beaufort Memorial Physician Partners practice, relocated in mid-October from office space in Professional Village.

Lowcountry in feeling, the bright, spacious office features a restful palate of blues and greens. For patients’ comfort and convenience, the office features 12 examination rooms, a large waiting area with a beverage station, indoor and outdoor seating areas, ample parking and handicap access.

“We understand that a trip to the doctor is not always easy,” said Sam Derrick, MHA, CMPE, executive director of Beaufort Memorial Physician Partners, a multispecialty physician group that includes specialists in primary care, general and vascular surgery, orthopedics, gastroenterology and women’s medicine. “Because of this we designed our practice to be in a comfortable, healing environment.  The warm, well-lighted and inviting atmosphere is intended to make what can be difficult a little easier on the mind and body.”

The practice currently offers same-day appointments, on-site laboratory services, as well as physical and occupational therapy. Imaging services are planned within the next year. In addition, the practice will offer extended hours to better accommodate patients’ schedules.

“These days all you have to do is turn on the television to hear that primary care physicians in the U.S. are in short supply,” said Derrick. “Beaufort Memorial is excited to bring compassionate care and easy access to board-certified Internal Medicine physicians in our new Lady’s Island Internal Medical practice.”
