Beaufort has made yet another list.

This time, in an Aug. 19 story on Conde´ Nast’s Traveler website by writer Caitlin Morton, Beaufort is listed as one of the 26 most beautiful towns in America.

The article’s entry for South Carolina’s second oldest city touts Beaufort’s coastal scenery, Antebellum homes and architecture and wonderful cuisine, name dropping the Beaufort Historic District, Old Bull Tavern, Saltus River grill and Breakwater Restaurant & Bar.
