Beaufort Children’s Theatre presenting Beauty and the Beast, Jr.

The Beaufort Children’s Theatre will be presenting Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR. is a fantastic adaptation of the story of transformation and tolerance, Friday, Nov. 19 through Sunday, Nov. 21, at USC Beaufort’s Center for the Arts.

Showtimes for Friday and Saturday are 7 p.m. Sunday’s performance is at 3 p.m.

Attendance is limited, and masks are required in the theater.. Tickets are available at https://www.uscbcenterforthearts.com/upcomingshows.

The production features some of the most popular songs ever written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice.

The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self.
