Bark for your Park: Two votes a day could win funding for a dog park

Beaufort has been nominated in the PetSafe “Bark for Your Park” contest where the city can win funds to build a dog park. One city will be awarded $100,000 to build a local dog park and four other pet passionate finalists will also receive $25,000.

“Beaufort dogs need a place to play off leash. This will be a great addition to our City. “ Kim Bonturi, Chain Free Beaufort.

Citizens will be able vote every day to help their city move forward in the contest. The 15 finalists will be announced on June 5.

How can you vote to win the dog park? Go to http://www.petsafe.net/barkforyourpark/city/15862/beaufort-sc/?success=1&where=vote, type in Beaufort, SC in the search for your city box. Create a account (only need to do this the first time), click on your city and then vote.

Beaufort Mayor Billy Keyserling is urging pet-friendly residents to go online and to please vote twice a day.
