Alexis Perry to perform at Hearth

Charleston singer-songwriter Alexis Perry will perform at Hearth on Wednesday, June 30, from 6- 9pm.

Having written her first song at age seven, Alexis, 19, has been making serious music for about three years now. She garnered attention beyond Charleston with last year’s release of the haunting Mazzy Star cover “Fade Into You,” but her song “Murder in Suburbia” – and its intriguing video – gained Alexis widespread critical praise and a growing international fan base.

A&R Factory writes of Alexis, “Inspired by Southern American literature, murder mysteries, and astrology, this is a true creative that isn’t interested in filling any genre at all and instead, makes her own… With a vibrant voice that you can’t shake off quickly, you get lost inside her creation and smile to yourself as you know you are seeing someone so beautifully unique, in this often fake copycat world.”

Alexis Perry will be joined on guitar by fellow Charleston recording artist Chris Holly, her music teacher and manager. Hearth Wood Fired Pizza is located at 802 Bay Street in downtown Beaufort.
