Free rides to vote available to local residents

Members of the Lowcountry Young Democrats and the Lowcountry American Dream Council have joined forces to provide free transportation for registered voters of any party to cast both absentee ballots, and to vote on Election Day.

Free rides will be provided to the Beaufort County Board of Elections and Registration offices in Bluffton and Beaufort to cast early absentee ballots from October 9 to November 5.

And voters will also be given free, pre-arranged rides to vote in any Beaufort County precinct during the 2012 General Election on Nov. 6.

Registered voters who need rides should call Marolyn Parson at 843-757-0237.

For more information, contact Marolyn.relocate@yahoo.com. Please provide your name, address, phone number and e-mail address.

Volunteers interested in providing rides may also call Parson at 843-757-0237.
