The Exchange Club of Beaufort held their 1st OBABY 5K Run/Walk this morning over the new new Bridge connecting Port Royal to Lady’s Island. It was a very frigid morning for a 5K, and even colder as you reached the top of the bridge, which we’ve learned is the highest point in all of Beaufort County.
There was a great turnout of over 70 participants.
The winners are (male) Tom Ruyle with a time of 22:36, and (female) Allison Pirog with a time of 26:44.
Congrats to the winners, and to all of the participants who didn’t mind the shivering.
