Sheriff’s Office Investigating Armed Robbery on LADY’S ISLAND, SC (July 11) – The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the armed robbery of a Lady’s Island restaurant that occurred late Saturday night.
Just before 11 pm, Sheriff’s deputies responded to Dairy Queen (115 Sea Island Pkwy) in reference to a robbery occurring moments earlier. Deputies were notified upon being flagged down by a motorist who reported being at the drive-thru window of the store and seeing what appeared to be a robbery in progress. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with employees who advised that the store had just been robbed by an unknown black male armed with a handgun. Employees advised that the suspect had entered the store through a rear door, brandished a weapon, and taken money out of the cash register. The suspect fled the scene on foot, leaving employees unharmed. He was described as a black male between 20- 30 years of age, approximately 6’02”, 210 lbs, wearing a green jumpsuit, gloves, and a white t-shirt wrapped around his head.
